Salary: Other Band 7 – Agenda for Change Scale. The commencing salary will be within Scale commencing entry point £47,172 with increments at 2 years and 5 years to the top of scale £53,980, plus a market supplement.

About the role: Devon and Cornwall and Dorset Policing Alliance are looking to recruit a Specialist Practitioner in Occupational Health (SCPHN) working for an in-house Occupational Health provision delivering the full remit of Occupational Health. The successful applicant will work as a senior member of staff within the Occupational Health team providing a high quality, evidence based clinical advisory service to Managers, Staff and Officers of Devon & Cornwall Police. The staff member will advise on physical and psychological aspects of fitness for work, giving general health and wellbeing guidance and providing support to internal and external customers / contractors.
A key function of the role will be to deputise for the Occupational Health Nurse Consultant and potentially the Lead Occupational Health Nurse Consultant, and act as a role model in demonstrating high standards of clinical care, providing leadership, mentorship and clinical supervision to the Occupational Health team on all matters pertaining to service delivery and people management health and wellbeing support.
