Hours per week: this role is 37 hours per week. However, we welcome applications from individuals wishing to work on a part‑time basis and we are willing to consider flexible working patterns subject to business need

About the role:

To represent Dorset Police as a focal point of contact, receiving personal and telephone enquiries and processing, finalising or redirecting those enquiries.

  • Provide the first point of contact for members of the public calling at the Police Station.
  • Respond to all incoming telephone enquiries, including messages left on the mailbox system.
  • Interrogation of the Force Management Information System, including STORM, NICHE,LEDS, PNC and Property Systems.
  • Interrogation of the Police National Computer (PNC).
  • Send and receive emails.
  • Receive, send and return Lost, Found and evidential / seized property.
