Hours per week: this role is 37 hours per week. We welcome applications from individuals wishing to work on a part-time basis and are willing to consider flexible working patterns subject to business need.
About the role:
To provide a single point of contact (SPOC) for victims and witnesses ensuring a professional, and seamless support service from the first point of contact through to the conclusion of an investigation and outcome at court.
To manage and engage with victims and witnesses throughout the investigation at key stages in line with the Victims Code of Practice (VCoP), identifying those victims entitled to an enhanced service. Facilitate liaison between victims and witnesses, Dorset Police, Crown Prosecution Service (CPS), His Majesty’s Court Tribunal Service (HMCTS) and support agencies to ensure effective trials.
To maintain performance and timeliness in line with both local and national standards, consistently met and complied with, in line with the Victims and Prisoners Bill and VCoP.
