Are you a caring and compassionate Registered Nurse looking to work in an outstanding rated Trust? Shaston ward, based at Westminster memorial hospital, Shaftesbury are looking for either an experienced or newly qualified Staff Nurse to join our supportive team. As a Staff Nurse you will be working alongside a multi-disciplinary team, in a 15 bedded ward who provide sub-acute medical care, rehabilitation, Palliative / End of Life care for the local and wider community.
Our Elderly Rehabilitation and End of Life Care unit achieved a nationally recognised accreditation in the Gold Standard Framework award for end-of-life care. Our team are a close-knit community, and we pride ourselves on always going the extra mile. We offer dedicated career pathways and great opportunities for continuing professional development with a comprehensive and structured induction programme and training. An excellent preceptorship programme for newly qualified nurses and the chance to further your career in a nurse led environment.
The Staff Nurse post is a full-time role, we would be flexible and accept part time applications with a minimum of 15 hours. We have a variety of flexible shifts:
- Early - 07.30 – 15.30
- Late - 12.30 – 20.30
- Nights – 20.15 – 07.45
Weekend and public holidays at enhanced pay! We are committed to providing excellent standards of care for our patients and we know that to enable us to do this, the continuous professional development of staff in a supportive environment has to be a top priority for us and it is!
You will need enthusiasm and a commitment to provide the highest standards of care to patients, relatives and carers, and the ability to provide professional clinical leadership. You will need to have an interest in working with older people and have good communication and organisational skills.
