An opportunity has arisen at Forston Clinic to join the Facilities Team as a Facilities Support Worker, with the main emphasis on the cleaning part of the role
Applicants should be enthusiastic, motivated and able to work as part of a team and also on their own.
This position is for 22.75 hours per week and will include alternate weekends for which enhancements will be paid

This post is part of the Facilities & Estates Service that Dorset Healthcare may transfer to an NHS wholly owned subsidiary company, from November 2025 or later. This is an exciting opportunity to join a developing, expanding, organisation with a strong commitment to NHS values and putting patients first. The NHS wholly owned subsidiary will continue to offer NHS Agenda for Change Terms and Conditions, including NHS pensions, to staff who transfer as well as new staff it recruits itself.
This is a multi tasking role and includes cleaning, catering and porter activity over five days per week. Our facilities team members perform a vital part of our hard working team at the hospital and without them the Hospital would not be able to operate.
Cleaning
Provide an effective, patient-focused cleaning and domestic service, to meet NHS cleanliness standards as a minimum. Working on a ward for mental health patients this will include cleaning bedrooms, bathrooms, the kitchen as well as the communal areas .
Portering
Provision of appropriate portering services which will include the safe moving and storing of deliveries and equipment, performing routine health and safety tasks and supporting the general team in their activities.
Catering
To contribute to the delivery of Catering Services in the Hospital. To assist in the production and delivery of patient food, and to ensure a clean, safe and hygienic service.
Employment in this post requires a Standard Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check, which the Trust will cover the cost of. Applicants who subscribe to the DBS update service are able to present a valid DBS certificate instead of requiring a new check.
