Due to an expansion of our Community Dermatology Service, we are looking to recruit an experienced part-time Healthcare Assistant to support the team. The successful candidate will have previous experience and will be dedicated to delivering excellent patient care. Flexibility and adaptability are essential, as the role involves working across various clinics throughout Dorset.

This role involves assisting and supporting both Outpatient and Surgical clinics, recording information accurately on the clinical record-keeping system (SystmOne). The candidate must have experience and skills in using the Microsoft Office suite.

There is an opportunity to take on additional hours on an ad-hoc basis; therefore, flexibility regarding working days is desirable.

The position is based across two sites: Pelhams Community Clinic in Kinson and Poole Healthcare Centre in the Dolphin Centre.

Employment requires an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check, which the Trust will cover. Applicants subscribing to the DBS update service can present a valid DBS certificate instead of a new check.

Responsibilities include ensuring instruments are available and prepared for minor surgery clinics, undertaking and recording tasks following training, preparing environments and equipment, assisting GPwSIs during minor procedures, recording patient information accurately, and completing IPC audits monthly.

Please note, visa sponsorship is not available for this role. Candidates must have the legal right to work in the UK without sponsorship.

This is a fixed-term role, and for current NHS staff, it will be offered on a secondment basis, requiring prior permission for release.
