The Blandford Integrated Community Rehab Team are looking for a Rehabilitation Assistant to work within their multidisciplinary team, based at Blandford Hospital. We are a small, friendly team consisting of Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists, Registered Nurse, Therapy Assistant Practitioners, Rehabilitation Assistants and a Team Administrator. We work as a team to provide physical rehabilitation to the over 18‑year‑old population within North Dorset.
Key Responsibilities
- Work mainly under supervision of clinicians within the team, while working autonomously within your competencies.
- Visit patients in their own homes and other community settings, requiring a valid driver’s licence.
- Support the team in delivering high quality care and rehabilitation, assisting with early discharge planning and prevention of avoidable hospital admissions.
Key Qualifications and Experience
- Experience in rehabilitation or a caring role.
- Good verbal, written and team‑working skills.
- Flexibility and confidence to work alone.
- Basic IT skills; NVQ level 2/3 would be advantageous.
- Ability to drive a car and visit patients in community settings.
