If you are looking for work that suits your lifestyle and needs, becoming a Dorset HealthCare Bank Worker could be right for you. We are currently recruiting for Bank Staff Nurses - RGN and RMN (Band 5) for our sites across the county.
Our Bank workers work flexibly to fill short-term staffing shortages within our organisation. Shifts can be scheduled up to six weeks in advance or at short notice, allowing you to plan ahead or pick up a shift on the day. You can easily book shifts online or via our smartphone app. You can choose the location and shift patterns that suit your needs and commitments. Work in a single site or across multiple locations—whichever suits you best. Depending on your experience, roles are available within both physical and mental health settings.

Bank workers are paid hourly: £15.32 to £18.65, depending on NHS experience. Applicants requiring current Skilled Worker sponsorship to work in the UK are ineligible for this position.
What we need from you:
- A current NMC registration and at least 12 months post-registration experience
- Relevant experience for community team roles (CMHT for RMN or District/Community Nursing for RGN)
- A minimum of three shifts per month
- If working in a mental health environment, you must undertake the Trust’s ‘Prevention and Management of Violence and Aggression’ (PMVA) course and successfully complete all aspects; failure to do so will prevent employment.
- An Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check, with costs covered by the Trust
- Completion of the PMVA course is a condition of employment; failure to complete all aspects will prevent you from starting work.
