About the role
Finance & Human Resources Manager required for an immediate start
30 hours per week
Term Time 39 weeks plus 15 additional days
Working Hours: Our normal office opening hours are 08:30am to 16:30pm Monday to Thursday, 08:30am to 16:00pm Friday, but we can be flexible on the work pattern to suit the right candidate.
We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and self motivated Finance & HR Manager to lead our professional and friendly Admin and Site team. This is a key post maintaining the school\’s Budgets and Finance, whilst providing Financial and HR support to the Headteacher and Governing Body
We are looking for someone who:
- is an enthusiastic team player with strong business, financial, HR and resource management
- has experience of preparing budgets, budget monitoring and forecasting the year end outturn
- holds a relevant Accounting qualification or School Business Management qualification, with membership of a relevant professional body
- has a flair for operational management and strategic thinking
- is proactive and forward thinking and will be able to support the school in its continual drive for improvement
- is able to support the Headteacher and Governing body with financial reporting and attend meetings
- has experience of working in a school environment
- has experience of premises management
Successful candidates will demonstrate:
- sound school business financial experience and qualifications
- excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- high levels of self motivation and organisational skills
- ability to plan and prioritise a busy workload
- commitment to high standards of work performance
- ability to lead, support and motivate a team
- ability to work well with a team
- willingness to participate fully in the life of the school
- creativity and competence in using ICT and other media
- knowledge of the Academy Trust Handbook
- proven experience of Payroll and HR processes and compliance
- secure knowledge of school business systems
- good knowledge of DfE and HMRC statutory reporting and returns
