  • 8am to 12:30pm Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday
  • 8am to 4:30pm Wednesdays (with one hour’s unpaid lunch break)

Salary

Poole Grade C

SCP 3 to 4 £24,027 to £24,404 FTE (pay award pending)

£14,179 to £14,402 pro rata

Job/Person Summary

We wish to appoint an enthusiastic and effective receptionist for our main school office. You will be joining a skilled, dedicated, and supportive staff team in an exciting school.

Receptionists/administrators with all levels of experience are encouraged to apply. Training to support you in your role is offered.

We have an exciting opportunity to appoint a reliable, flexible, and enthusiastic Receptionist to join our busy school business team. The successful candidate will be confident, organized, and have excellent communication skills. The post requires a high degree of interpersonal, organizational, communication, and administrative skills (including initiative, flexibility, diplomacy, discretion, confidentiality, and a professional approach).

The Successful Applicant Will Have

  • general clerical and administration experience
  • excellent customer care skills as first point of contact within the school
  • computer literacy with good attention to detail
  • ability to manage and prioritize a busy workload
  • experience of working in a school environment is desirable
  • high expectations of customer liaison and interactions

Talbot Primary is an ambitious, friendly, and happy school for children aged 4 to 11 years. We were graded ‘Good’ by Ofsted (January 2022). We are a 3-form community primary school, which provides education for Reception children (Age 4) to Year 6 (Age 11), situated on the beautiful South Coast. We are located in an urban setting and set within extensive playing fields and grounds, including a beautiful indoor swimming pool, Forest School, and a large, productive garden, which is used to grow fruit, vegetables, and sensory planting.
