We are seeking to recruit a permanent driver with a responsible and caring attitude to assist in Adult Day care transport in the Ferndown Area.

What You Can Expect To Be Doing:

  • Applications are invited from people living in the Ferndown area.
  • The hours of work could vary but are usually approximately 4 hours a day, Monday to Friday, split shifts morning and afternoon, transporting to and from the day centre.
  • Vehicles you will be driving will be a 17-seater mini bus or smaller.

About You:

  • You must have a category D1(101) or D or D1 on your driving licence.
  • You should have experience working with the elderly or adults with learning disabilities.
  • You will be responsible for conveying passengers safely to and from their homes and other establishments, in accordance with the route schedule (with or without the assistance of an escort), having particular regard for their comfort and specific disabilities.
  • You must be physically fit enough to push wheelchairs and secure them in vehicles.
