- Essential criteria: Completion of a competency-based workbook or equivalent relevant experience to vocational level 3 care certificate.
- Desirable criteria: Relevant short courses to undertake clinical care duties.
- Essential criteria: Ability to work as part of a team, as well as on own initiative. Ability to communicate clearly and effectively.
- Desirable criteria: Understanding of basic physiology e.g. normal vital signs, fluid balance, nutritional requirements etc. Competent in setting up and maintaining sterile fields - be able to check sterility and handle instruments required for a procedure. Diathermy - Electrosurgery competent. Venepuncture. Knowledge of care and related procedures, clinical observations, relevant legislation.
