Detailed job description and main responsibilities:

  • Prepare and deliver end user training on complex IM&T software, such as eCaMIS, EPR, PACS, etc.
  • Prepare and deliver end user training on Microsoft Office software to intermediate level and other corporate software used within the Trust.
  • Book and manage end users on training courses, providing advice as necessary.
  • Develop and adapt training materials and resources as and when necessary.
  • Design, author and deliver e-learning on complex IM&T software.
  • Participate in local acceptance testing as and when required.

Person specification:

Qualifications:

  • Essential criteria: Recognised Level 5 Teaching Qualification or equivalent training experience (minimum 5 years); Full ECDL qualification or equivalent IM&T qualification.
  • Desirable criteria: Teaching Degree.

Experience:

  • Essential criteria: Minimum 2 years previous teaching/training experience; Experience in developing, designing and tailoring training materials to engage learners and meet agreed programme learning outcomes.
  • Desirable criteria: Experience of working in an NHS environment.

Knowledge:

  • Essential criteria: Demonstrable knowledge of teaching preferably IT applications; Expert knowledge of complex IM&T applications.
  • Desirable criteria: Practical knowledge of IT applications used in NHS and underpinning theory required to use these systems.
