We are seeking a dynamic and experienced individual to lead our manufacturing facility and drive excellence across Production, Supply Chain, Project Management, Logistics, and Warehousing. This role is central to improving performance, strengthening processes, and fostering a high‑performing operational culture.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategic & Operational Leadership: Develop and deliver operational strategies that enhance efficiency, productivity, and profitability. Oversee end‑to‑end operational processes— from estimating through to onsite delivery—ensuring adherence to quality and compliance standards.
- Team & Culture: Lead, mentor, and grow a high‑performing operations team. Support HR with recruitment, development, and performance management across operational departments. Promote a positive, accountable culture and act as a role model for behaviour and performance expectations.
- Operational Excellence: Manage resources including personnel, materials, and equipment to optimise output and reduce waste. Establish and monitor KPIs to drive continuous improvements and operational discipline. Ensure full compliance with all health, safety, environmental, and industry regulations.
- Financial & Stakeholder Management: Develop and manage the operations budget, ensuring cost control and alignment with financial targets. Collaborate closely with business development, sales, estimating, and finance teams to support seamless workflow and shared objectives. Attend client meetings as a customer‑facing operational expert. Contribute to SLT meetings and produce monthly board‑level departmental reports.
About You
- Experience: Minimum 10 years’ experience in manufacturing or wider operational functions. At least 5 years in a senior leadership role within a similar environment.
- Skills: Exceptional leadership and team management capability. Proven problem‑solving and decision‑making skills. Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, quality control, and operational systems. Excellent communication, influencing, and interpersonal skills. Competent in operational and management software tools.
- Personal Attributes: Analytical: Able to assess data and make informed, timely decisions. Detail‑Oriented: Maintains a high standard of accuracy and quality. Adaptable: Thrives in changing environments and leads others through transition. Proactive: Anticipates issues and implements solutions before they escape escalation. People‑Centred: Leads with respect, clarity, and consistency to bring out the best in others.
Performance Metrics: Success in this role will be measured using KPIs such as: Productivity Factor & Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) NCR (Non‑Conformance Report) progression and closure rates.
