A day might start with sorting through donations, making decisions about pricing and which items are suitable for the shop floor. You will manage a team of volunteers, arranging their rotas and health & safety requirements. You will be responsible for the look and feel of your shop, arranging the layout and changing window displays to ensure it stays relevant to the community it serves. You will have ultimate responsibility for the financial performance of your shop, so you will spend time analysing business performance and making commercial decisions to increase sales.

Life as a Shop Manager
Being the shop manager or deputy manager of one of our 27 retail shops is a diverse and challenging role. No two days are the same, with responsibilities for the overall commercial success of the shop as well as managing a team, processing, pricing and displaying donations and maintaining the health and safety of all customers and volunteers. You will be responsible for the look and layout of your shop, using your creative skills and commercial eye to ensure the shop stays relevant to the community it serves.
