The Opportunity
We are looking for a Maintenance Manager to join the team at Dornoch Station. Reporting into the General Manager you will be responsible for:
- Develop maintenance procedures and ensure implementation.
- Implement preventive maintenance programme.
- Arrange for routine maintenance in hotel rooms, public areas and back of house facilities.
- Carry out inspections of the facilities to identify and resolve issues.
- Check electrical and hydraulic systems of buildings to ensure functionality.
- Plan and oversee all repair and installation activities.
- Allocate workload and supervise the team.
- Monitor equipment inventory and place orders when necessary.
- Monitor expenses and control the budget.
- Manage relationships with contractors and service providers.
- Keep maintenance logs and report on daily activities.
- Ensure health and safety and fire policies are complied with.
- Act fast to resolve emergency issues.
- Find ways to reduce hotel operating costs.
- Ensure operation is meeting sustainability goals.
- Maintain and supervise maintenance contracts and activity logs of periodical inspections.
What are we looking for?
- Minimum 2 years maintenance experience, preferably within a hotel environment (although not essential!)
- IOSH Essential
- Accomplished Leader of Teams
- Good organisational and time management skills
- Conflict management solution skills are essential.
- Expert knowledge of Health & Safety and Fire Regulations
- Good Verbal and IT skills
- Problem Solving Aptitude
- Strong interpersonal skills
