Roles and responsibilities:
- Receive materials, plant hire and ensure storage is secure
- Reconcile quantities with supervisors and vendors
- Adhere to Quality management systems and ensure appropriate document control
- Assist in arrangement for provision of transport, and to ensure prompt action requests
- Physical Inventory Control and verification on the usage of the material
- Propose and dispose surplus/ scrap material at facility location as per Company procedures
- Prepare, monitor and update Material Tracking Schedule
- Closely work with Planning Engineer to ensure materials are available as per the plan
- Coordinate with Material Engineer and Procurement Department for providing details for Material Submittal to obtain Client approval
- Planning with Procurement Department to minimise the inventory as agreed with Project Manager and prepare Monthly Materials Reports
- Expedite with Supplier for prompt delivery
- Monitor the Stores function and Storekeepers
- Regularly update the Quantity Surveyor on the materials required to complete the Project
- To ensure correct quantity and cost are debited to the items in CCS/SAP system
- To accurately back charge subcontractors and suppliers
- To ensure correct data is provided to Commercial Dept. for calculation of quantity and cost to complete budget items
Experience:
- Previous experience in stores or logistics, ideally in construction industry
- Previous supervisory skills desirable
Skills:
- Proficient with MS Office and various computer softwares
- Ability to work well under pressure and to tight deadlines
- Excellent at building relationships at all levels in order to ensure flow of communication
