Kantor Energy are currently recruiting for an Electrical Engineer to work on various Kantor projects, based in the Kantor/Dornan London Office. Kantor is a specialist engineering contractor that has been designing and building innovative and sustainable energy systems for clients across the UK and Ireland for over 12 years. We are a wholly owned subsidiary of the Dornan Engineering Group.

Responsibilities:

  • Concept design, detailed design and project delivery electrical engineering across a range of scales and types of heat network projects around the UK, with a focus on the London area.
  • Engagement with supply chain during both initial procurement and delivery phases to ensure optimal product selection and delivery.
  • Act as lead electrical project engineer on a number of live projects, working directly under the Lead Engineer.
  • Primarily site-based role (most sites based in London, with some potential for site attendance outside of London), with time also spent in the Kantor/Dornan London office, as needed.
  • Review, analysis and reporting on project performance.

What we are looking for:

  • Level 8 / Honours Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • Min 5 years' experience in an electrical engineering role, preferably within the energy sector.
  • Flexible and enthusiastic approach, with a willingness to take on novel challenges.
  • Good understanding of LV power systems for industrial, commercial and multi-residential facilities and in particular transformers, main distribution boards, sub-distribution boards, cabling and containment systems, PFC units and UPS systems.
  • Capability (and ideally experience) in cable sizing calculation software, e.g. Amtech.
  • Proficiency in MS Office suite, in particular MS Excel and MS Word.
  • Some experience preferable in use of computer drawing software, e.g. AutoCAD, Revit, Solidworks.
