Planning Manager– London
AtDornanwe are currently recruiting forPlanning Manager to join a major Project in London.
Reporting to the GroupPlanning Director, the Planning Manager will be responsible for all aspects of Planning and Scheduling on a project including execution of the schedule from commencement to completion of works. In addition, the Planning Manager will be responsible for the establishment & implementation of Dornan's standard Project Controls Procedures & Systems applicable to the project scope, and any client specified planning related deliverables. The Planning Director will provide functional support to the Planning Manager.

Responsibilities:
- Managing & leading a team of 2 Planners initially
- Ensuring team is structured and roles & responsibilities are clearly defined
- Ensure team and individual deadlines are met
- Project Planning using ASTA PowerProject
- Using Softwares like Excel, Power BI & Bluebeam to producing day to day deliverables
- Develop Pre-Construction, Construction and Commissioning Program's as part of the Dornan project team
- Ensure Site walks are caried out on a weekly basis to ensure the planner is familiar with the projects progress
- Scheduled and ad hoc discussions with all/any project team members around day to day site issues/events
- Manage the planning process in terms of developing and managing the project lifecylce in terms of planning & progress, driving the Dornan team to engage
- Attend formal and informal project meeting and reviews with all stakeholders, including internal to Dornan, Clients, Suppliers, Service Providers and Subcontractors.
- Maintain good relations and facilitate exchange of information between client and Dornan, as well as internally to assure alignment of strategic objectives.
- Be an active member in the cross-functional project team, liaising with Commercial Engineering, Procurement, Construction, QA, Turnover, and other Functions; identify potential areas of concern and resolve them before they become issues.
