We are now inviting applications for our Planning Graduate Programme 2027.
Successful candidates will be placed on projects in Ireland, the UK and Mainland Europe.
As a Graduate Planner with Dornan, your training will be fully on the job under the supervision and mentorship of a Senior Planner in a live construction environment.
To ensure you are getting the best experience possible we have curated a programme which will help you reach your full potential within the role.
Your day to day will include
- Development of the Project Controls Systems specific to the Project including: Setting up WBS; Set up Progress Measurement System (PMS); Develop the Schedule, S-Curves and Manpower Histograms ; Cost Loading of Programs (as required); Baseline the Schedule
- Implementing the Project Controls systems
- Progress Measuring of all works, Direct & Sub-Contract, using the Dornan bespoke PMS
- Monitoring of labour hours & Analysis oflabour efficiencies
- Updating project schedule in Primavera/ASTA
- Systems Turnover Tracking
- Monitor delays & client Notifications as required
What we are looking for
- Working towards a Construction Management or related Degree (Level 8).
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
What happens next
- Your application will be reviewed, and shortlisted candidates will be invited to interview in November and December of 2026.
- Offers will be issued in January and February of 2027, and following this you will be assigned to your business unit and mentor.
- You will commence with Dornan from June 2027.
