At Dornan we are currently recruiting for an Electrical Construction Manager to join a major Commercial Project in London. This is an opportunity to play a key role on a high‑profile site, leading Electrical delivery and helping drive project excellence from start to completion.

Responsibilities
In this full‑time, fixed‑term role, you'll work closely with the Project Manager to coordinate and deliver electrical works to the highest standards. You'll help plan and sequence activities, support supervision of site teams, and ensure all works meet programme requirements, technical specifications, and Dornan's safety standards. Your work will span planning, overseeing labour and materials, monitoring progress, maintaining quality and compliance, and ensuring safe, efficient site operations. You'll be involved in everything from short‑term lookaheads and cost awareness to supporting commissioning, handover, and collaboration with subcontractors, suppliers, and client teams. You will also play a key part in maintaining site discipline, supporting apprentices, ensuring equipment and materials are effectively managed, and escalating any issues that impact productivity or scope.
About You
Your Experience
You bring proven experience as an Electrical Construction Manager on Commercial Shell & Core Projects. You have strong technical knowledge of electrical building services – including power distribution, lighting, containment, fire alarm, and life safety systems – and the capability to manage subcontractors, workforce planning, and programme delivery in a fast-moving environment. You take ownership, communicate clearly, lead effectively, and are committed to continuous professional development.
Your Qualifications
A relevant Electrical trade background or a third‑level qualification in Electrical Engineering, Building Services Engineering, or a related field. SMSTS or equivalent safety‑management certification. Appropriate and current health and safety training (e.g. Safe Pass / CSCS / equivalent).
