At Dornan we are currently recruiting for a BIM Manager based on site in London to work on allocated projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead Project BIM Coordinators and manage workload of Revit Technicians.
  • Coordinate with Dornan Engineers, Design Teams, and 3rd-party contractors.
  • Work with the BIM Manager to plan project programmes and BIM delivery strategies.
  • Chair weekly coordination meetings and workshops, producing minutes and tracking actions.
  • Implement and maintain the BIM Execution Plan (BEP) and Project BIM Implementation Plan (BIP).
  • Support the UK BIM Manager in developing company BIM standards.

What We're Looking For

  • Strong understanding of the Project BIM Manager role.
  • Understanding of RIBA Stage 5 and 6 for MEP.
  • Effective planning and programming skills.
  • Ability to work independently and within multi-disciplinary teams.
  • Excellent IT skills: Revit, Navisworks, Excel, Fabrication MEP.
  • Good commercial awareness and knowledge of HSE systems.
  • Awareness of team strengths and development needs.
  • Getting the information on time, having to chase and challenge the internal and external team for it to hit deliverables.
  • Leading on coordination, having to sit with contractor, consultant, architects, structural team and getting them on board to support us with the re-coordination of areas.
  • Leading meetings with other contractors and architects.
  • Leading a team and reporting on progress.
