Electrical Construction Lead Location – Northumberland Role Overview The Electrical Construction Lead will lead the site delivery of the electrical package on a large-scale hyperscale data centre project. Reporting to the Project Director / Operations Director, you will manage electrical construction activities, subcontractors and site teams, ensuring works are delivered safely, to programme and to the required quality standards. The role requires strong experience delivering complex electrical and critical power infrastructure within data centre or mission-critical environments. Key Responsibilities Lead day-to-day electrical construction activities on site. Manage electrical subcontractors, site teams and multiple work fronts. Drive programme, productivity, quality and safety across the electrical package. Oversee installation of HV/LV distribution, switchgear, transformers, generators, UPS, busbar, cabling and associated electrical systems. Coordinate electrical works with mechanical, CSA and other disciplines. Review drawings, resolve RFIs and identify construction or coordination issues. Manage short-term programmes and look-ahead schedules. Ensure electrical systems are completed and ready for testing, energisation and commissioning. Work closely with Commissioning and QA/QC teams through system completion and handover. Drive snagging, punch-list completion and construction close-out. Experience Required Previous experience as an Electrical Construction Lead / Manager on major projects. Strong knowledge of HV/LV distribution and critical power systems. Data centre or mission-critical project experience highly desirable. Experience managing electrical subcontractors and site teams. Strong understanding of construction sequencing, energisation and commissioning. Hyperscale data centre, DFMA and Lean Construction experience advantageous.
