Dornan Engineering Group is a leading international engineering contractor delivering high-value projects across Europe, the UK & Ireland. Based in Dublin, this is an exciting opportunity to join our growing Mechanical Construction Team as a Mechanical Supervisor (Foreman), supporting the delivery of a major pharmaceutical project.

This is a hands-on leadership role where you will oversee mechanical installation activities on site, ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards while coordinating with subcontractors, site management, and client teams.

Your day will include:

  • Supervising mechanical trades and subcontractors to ensure works are delivered safely and on schedule.
  • Coordinating daily site activities and allocating work across mechanical crews.
  • Monitoring quality of installations and ensuring compliance with project specifications and industry standards.
  • Conducting toolbox talks, safety briefings, and promoting a strong safety culture on site.
  • Liaising with Project Managers, Engineers, QA/QC teams, and other disciplines to ensure effective project delivery.
  • Reviewing drawings and resolving technical issues in collaboration with the project team.
  • Tracking progress and reporting on productivity, resource requirements, and site activities.
  • Ensuring all work is completed in accordance with Dornan's health, safety, and quality procedures.

About You:

  • Previous experience as a Mechanical Supervisor, Foreman on large-scale industrial, pharmaceutical, data centre, or process projects.
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, including pipework, HVAC, and process installations.
  • Proven ability to lead teams and coordinate subcontractors in a fast-paced construction environment.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • Ability to interpret mechanical drawings and specifications.
  • Strong commitment to health, safety, and quality standards.
  • Safe Pass and relevant trade qualification.
  • Experience working within pharmaceutical or highly regulated environments is desirable.

Position based on Pharmaceutical project in Dublin.
