Dornan Engineering is a well-established and leading Mechanical, Electrical and HVAC engineering and construction company, with major project experience across a wide range of sectors in Ireland, Europe and the UK. Dornan are involved in projects across many sectors such as Pharmaceutical, Power, Waste to Energy, Commercial, Data Centre and Petrochemical.
Due to the continuous growth with Dornan Engineering, we are currently looking to recruit experienced General Operatives to join the company on exciting projects. You will join Dornan's hard working and ambitious project teams and you will benefit from a supportive culture, where your ideas and contributions will be recognised.
Role:
- 3 month fixed term contract based in Carrigtwohill, Cork
- Experience working on Industrial & Commercial or Pharmaceutical projects
- 2+ years post qualification experience
- Full driving license required
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
Your day to day will include:
- Assisting Trades
- Ensure adequate materials are available
- Uncrating and weathering equipment
- Ensure work area is clean and tidy at all times
- General Housekeeping Duties
- Moving finished assets to storage
- To load and unload deliveries
- All other reasonable tasks assigned to you from time to time from your manager
- Operate and carry out job set tasks
- Ensure have been briefed and understand all relevant risk and method statements
- Use best/safe practice on all tasks carried out
- Checks on any equipment that may use
- Ensure safe tidy place of work
- Implement best practice procedures and maximise use of own working time
- Ensure signed up to all permits and briefings before commencing any work
Qualifications:
- Safe pass and Manual Handling
- Working at heights and IPAF
