Dornan Engineering Group is a leading international engineering contractor delivering high-value projects across Europe, UK & Ireland. Based in Kinsale, Cork, this is an exciting opportunity to join our growing Dornan team as an Electrician, supporting the delivery of our Pharmaceutical project. Due to the continuous growth with Dornan Engineering, we are currently looking to recruit experienced Electricians to join the company on exciting projects. You will join Dornan's hard working and ambitious project teams and you will benefit from a supportive culture, where your ideas and contributions will be recognised.

Your day to day will include:

  • Electrical Services Installations
  • Cable Tray & Containment Installation
  • Cable Pulling & Terminating
  • Earthing Systems
  • Glanding & Terminating Steel Wire
  • Installing Light & Small Power Systems

About You:

  • Proven experience as an Electrician within the engineering, construction, or MEP sector.
  • Experience working on construction, pharmaceutical or industrial projects.
  • Install power distribution systems.
  • Complete cable routing, tray installation, trunking, and containment systems.
  • Install conduits and wiring.
  • Adhere to site safety procedures and permit-to-work systems.
  • Follow lockout/tagout (LOTO) procedures.
  • Maintain safe working practices in hazardous environments.
  • Use correct PPE and ensure safe isolation of circuits.
  • Experience working on Industrial & Commercial or Pharmaceutical projects.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.

Qualifications:

  • Electrical Craft Certificate is essential.
  • Safe Pass and Manual Handling and Working at heights and IPAF required.
