Dornan Engineering Group is a leading international engineering contractor delivering high-value projects across Europe, UK & Ireland. Based in our head office in Cork, this is an exciting opportunity to join our growing Business Development team as a Bid Coordinator, supporting Dornan's business development and tendering activities. Reporting to the Business Development Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating and delivering tender submissions, maintaining bid documentation, and ensuring the company's CRM system remains accurate and up to date.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong organisational and communication skills who enjoys managing multiple priorities and contributing to winning new business opportunities.

Your day will include:

  • Coordinating and delivering PQQs and tender submissions, ensuring all deadlines are met.
  • Working closely with internal teams to gather and compile high-quality, accurate bid content.
  • Preparing, formatting and maintaining professional tender documents, bid libraries and client materials.
  • Ensuring all submissions align with company branding and quality standards.
  • Maintaining accurate CRM data for clients, opportunities and projects, while monitoring and updating the sales pipeline.
  • Producing reports and insights to support business development activities and decision-making.
  • Identifying and tracking new opportunities, while supporting client engagement and market intelligence.
  • Organising bid reviews, coordinating stakeholder input and maintaining document control.
  • Supporting continuous improvement of bid processes and ensuring compliance documentation is up to date.

About You:

  • Proven experience in a Bid/Proposal Coordination, Sales Support or similar role.
  • Highly organised with strong administrative skills and excellent attention to detail.
  • Comfortable managing multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) and design tools; experience with CRM systems such as Salesforce, HubSpot or Microsoft Dynamics.
  • Ideally experienced in construction, engineering, MEP or similar sectors, with an understanding of tendering and procurement processes.
  • Familiar with preparing PQQs, bids or client proposals and using tender portals.
  • Proactive and detail-focused, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, confident engaging stakeholders at all levels.
  • Positive, adaptable and solution-oriented approach.
