Electrical COHE Energy Marshall / Senior Authorised Person – Athlone Dornan Engineering is a well established and leading Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation and HVAC engineering and construction company, with major project experience across a wide range of sectors in Ireland, Europe and the UK.

Dornan are involved in projects across many sectors such as Pharmaceutical, Power, Waste to Energy, Commercial, Data Centre and Petrochemical.

Due to the continuous growth with Dornan Engineering, we are currently looking to recruit an experienced Electrical COHE Energy Marshall / Senior Authorised Person to join the company on exciting projects.

At Dornan we are currently recruiting a COHE Energy Marshall / Snr / Lead Authorised Person to work on a pharmaceutical project in the Athlone.

Your day to day will include

  • Responsible for overseeing Electrical COHE Process on behalf of CMT
  • Report to CMT Electrical Package Manager on all COHE LOTO and Energisation activities
  • Review, walk and approve if acceptable all MV & LV Energisation requests by Dornan AP.
  • Coordinating the safe isolation of electrical systems to prevent accidental energisation
  • Audit that all workers follow safety protocols and that energy-related activities meet project safety requirements
  • Working closely with electrical contractor, commissioning teams, and client representatives to manage overlapping energy sources and complex systems
  • Review / Witness Testing and verifying the absence of voltage in systems, including medium and low voltage equipment
  • Verify all equipment have a Signed DOF Issued by the vendor ready to be energised About You:
  • Detailed knowledge of the COHE role
  • Have strong general understanding of MV & LV Distribution Systems within an industrial project scenario
  • Must be experienced and proficient at Switchgear (MV/LV), Controls, Interlocking
  • Excellent communication and coordination skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, milestone-driven environment
  • Strong commitment to safety, quality, and teamwork
  • Position based on a Pharmaceutical project in Athlone Essential
  • Electrical Engineering / Craft Qualification with 4 min years experience on Switchgear or Testing of Distribution Systems or COHE Leadership
  • Experienced managing COHE Systems
  • Knowledge of LV and MV Regulations Desirable
  • Pharmaceutical experience
  • Data Centre experience
  • Previous Snr COHE implementation experience Site Certifications
