At Dornan, we are currently recruiting for an Electrical Construction Manager to join a major Healthcare Project in London. This is an opportunity to play a key role on a high‑profile site, leading Electrical delivery and helping drive project excellence from start to completion.

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with the Project Manager to coordinate and deliver electrical works to the highest standards.
  • Help plan and sequence activities, support supervision of site teams, and ensure all works meet programme requirements, technical specifications, and Dornan's safety standards.
  • Oversee labour and materials, monitor progress, maintain quality and compliance, and ensure safe, efficient site operations.
  • Be involved in everything from short‑term lookaheads and cost awareness to supporting commissioning, handover, and collaboration with subcontractors, suppliers, and client teams.
  • Play a key part in maintaining site discipline, supporting apprentices, ensuring equipment and materials are effectively managed, and escalating any issues that impact productivity or scope.

About You

Your Experience

  • Proven experience as an Electrical Construction Manager on Healthcare projects.
  • Strong technical knowledge of Electrical building services – including power distribution, lighting, containment, fire alarm, and life safety systems.
  • Capability to manage subcontractors, workforce planning, and programme delivery in a fast-moving environment.
  • Ownership, clear communication, effective leadership, and commitment to continuous professional development.

Your Qualifications

  • A relevant Electrical trade background or a third‑level qualification in Electrical Engineering, Building Services Engineering, or a related field.
  • SMSTS or equivalent safety‑management certification.
  • Appropriate and current health and safety training (e.g. Safe Pass / CSCS / equivalent).
