We are looking for a dynamic and results-driven Marketing Specialist to develop and implement marketing plans and activities across the UK, Ireland as well as working closely with the Netherlands. This role is ideal for someone who understands the B2B environment, is passionate about marketing, and has a strong track record of delivering impactful campaigns that drive business growth. The role requires collaboration with a wide range of stakeholders as well as the ability to work proactively. The ideal person understands the customer journey, puts the customer at the centre of decision making and uses data and insights to continuously improve marketing performance and outcomes.
The Marketing Specialist is responsible for developing and implementing marketing plans and activities to drive growth and support delivery of business targets across the UK, Ireland and Netherlands. To act as the voice of the customer, helping to deliver value for our customers, drive loyalty and ensure KONE are easy to do business with.
Responsibilities and key activities:
- Support the Marketing Manager in developing marketing plans that align with global marketing strategies and local business requirements, and are consistent with KONE’s overall strategy, purpose, and long-term objectives.
- Implement multi-channel campaigns across full marketing mix including social media, digital advertising, email, content, and traditional marketing – while ensuring compliance with local regulations and standards and safeguarding KONE's reputation and brand.
- Localise and implement global marketing material and activities as required.
- Plan and deliver external events according to global guidelines and utilise global concepts and tools.
- Develop and drive marketing activities to create demand, support sales and increase customer loyalty.
- Set clear and measurable goals and KPIs for all marketing activities, analyse performance across channels, report results, and optimise campaigns to drive measurable improvements.
- Monitor, analyse, and evaluate local market trends and segments, customer/influencer behaviour, and competitor activities to identify market opportunities; adjust marketing activities to meet changing markets and competitive conditions.
- As a guardian of the KONE brand, ensuring brand guidelines are applied and key messages are consistently applied in all marketing material.
- Oversee translations and ensure materials are applicable across all countries within the front line.
- Collaborate and share best practices across marketing and communications team within the UK, Ireland and Netherlands.
- Utilise appropriate marketing tools and channels, apply existing global processes, channels and tools where applicable.
- Manage relationships with external vendors and agencies (for example printers, event agencies, marketing agencies, graphic designers) to support the delivery of marketing activities.
Experience and skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field.
- CIM qualification in Marketing (or equivalent) is desirable.
- Minimum 7 years’ experience in marketing.
- Experience of B2B would be preferable.
- Proven experience planning and executing successful marketing activities and campaigns and demonstrating measurable business impact.
- Experience in planning and delivering digital marketing campaigns across social media, paid media, SEO, PPC and content marketing.
- Strong working knowledge of digital marketing tools and platforms (e.g., Google Ads, SEO, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, social media, Qlik sense).
- Data-driven mindset with a focus on performance analysis and continuous improvement.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management and project management skills.
- Fluent in English; another language (Dutch) would be beneficial but not essential.
- Experience of working within an international brand or organisation would be beneficial and an appreciation of cultural differences.
- Strong understanding of brand and reputation management.
- Customer segmentation/behaviour and market understanding.
- Demonstrable skills in written and oral communication and the ability to gather information, critique and edit content effectively.
- Excellent editorial and proof-reading skills.
