Provide bookkeeping and accounting services to clients. Responsibilities include managing recurring client engagements, assisting with special projects, and resolving client issues as needed.
Your role includes:
- Assisting multiple clients with their accounting and finance functions including financial close reporting and related support, on a recurring monthly basis.
- Creating and maintaining records of client financial transactions using technology including QuickBooks, QuickBooks Online, Bill.com, and Fathom.
- Applying principles of accounting to analyse financial information and prepare accurate financial reports.
- Supporting audits and tax return preparation by creating supporting schedules, gathering information, and providing analysis as requested.
- Managing reconciliation of accounts and month end close processes.
- Assisting with special projects and resolution of client issues.
- Collaborating with other consultants and clients for continuous improvement recommendations.
- Professional development of team members.
- Performing other duties as assigned.
The qualifications include:
- Experience working with QuickBooks, QuickBooks Online, Excel and Bill.com is preferred; overall technical savvy with accounting software programs is required.
- Accounting skills necessary to generate, prepare and review general ledger, journal entries, accounting records in accordance with GAAP and other basis of accounting.
- Ability to identify variances and research questions regarding financial activity and to improve accounting processes & procedures.
- Promoting positive working relationships with diverse personalities/roles at all levels in the firm.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills required.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Demonstrated ability to plan and execute own work on time and within budget.
- Ability to work in the office as well as remotely (hybrid).
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.
- CPA preferred.
- 3+ years of accounting experience.
- Associate’s Degree in Accounting or related field is required.
This is an exempt position, so you may have to work hours that exceed the standard 40‑hour work week.
