Ready to lead the charge in International Civilian Sales? Own the mission, drive growth, and become our next VP, International Civilian. This role will be located in the UK and will manage a team of three International Account Executives.
Plan, implement, and execute on sales strategy, leveraging market knowledge and experience to convey product value proposition and positioning across the International Civilian sector. Motivate, develop, and grow a team of sellers and cultivate a performance‑based culture built on providing value to Global Civilian government organizations. Develop and maintain high‑level relationships with key prospective customers, channel partners, and organizational leaders. Lead client mission and operational processes, identifying ways to integrate Dataminr into our clients’ workflows and recommending best practices. Navigate procurement processes and cycles, liaising with senior executives across government and other agencies. Coach sellers through complex sales, ensuring a consultative approach to selling. Provide business development and thought leadership through opportunity identification to grow new business, driving new capabilities and incremental business success. Own and provide market leadership to sales teams, serving as subject matter expert throughout the full sales cycle. Partner closely with cross‑functional teams including Sales Operations, Marketing, and Product to drive operational and product improvements. Maintain constant awareness of markets and competitive activity, making appropriate strategic and tactical sales recommendations to always stay one step ahead. Ensure high quality data hygiene with up‑to‑date and accurate forecasting of pipeline in SFDC.
Qualifications
- 10+ years of proven International Civilian Government sales experience leading and scaling teams selling to and directly supporting public sector customers.
- Knowledge of publicly available information is desirable as is general awareness of artificial intelligence and machine learning technologies.
- Extensive experience successfully selling to international civilian customers with a strong track record of negotiation and closing.
- Deep understanding of structured sales processes (e.g., MEDDPICC, Shipley, Miller Heiman).
- Strong solution selling skills with the ability to understand and demonstrate value from the customer’s perspective and align Dataminr products accordingly.
- Proven delivery of revenue targets and business objectives while devising and operating within a strategic business plan.
- Ideally, enterprise software and/or Software‑as‑a‑Service (SaaS) experience is a plus but not essential.
- Proven success as a sales leader.
- An entrepreneurial flair with intellectual curiosity, able to instill confidence in the market and inspire their teams.
- Ability to work together across teams and influence without positional authority.
- Open to travel as required.
