You will work collaboratively alongside a full design multidisciplinary team, with a willingness to learn from and actively support other Visual Designers. You will be an experienced Visual Designer within our Experience Design team of interaction designers, researchers, content writers, and strategists. You will work effectively and confidently as part of agile teams to help uncover priorities, visualise outcomes, and define scope. You’ll help identify and solve real customer problems and ensure that we put human needs at the heart of every problem we solve.
As a Visual Designer, it’ll be your role to:
- Apply your creative thinking to solve complex problems and make them seem simple.
- Design production assets, infographics, logos, and other elements.
- Create engaging digital experiences and design interfaces for web and mobile applications.
- Make seemingly mundane things interesting and exciting.
- Support us in scaling and honing our digital design system.
- Master storytelling techniques to help the business communicate effectively.
- Bring your designs to life with prototyping software.
- Engage with design teams and communities of practice to understand objectives and opportunities aligned to good customer outcomes.
- Design and layout pages and User Interfaces, skillfully and creatively using components from a central design system.
- Bring your designs and presentations to life with prototyping software (Figma is our main tool, experience is required) as well as Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft tools like PowerPoint, Excel, and Acrobat.
What you’ll need:
- Demonstrable experience within Visual Design.
- A collaborative mindset ready to support a busy multi-disciplinary team.
- Experience in solving visual design challenges and delivering experience-led brand digital journeys.
- Tons of energy and enthusiasm to bring visual design to where it’s needed.
- Understanding and contributing to the existing digital Design System and being an advocate of accessibility standards.
- Ambition to work collaboratively with and learn from a full-stack design team, including Researchers, Content Designers, Service Designers, and Interaction Designers.
- Strong ability to see designs through to delivery, communicating with developers to ensure designs meet specifications and can be used by a broad range of users of all backgrounds, ages, and abilities.
