This position will be a hybrid work arrangement. You will receive 18 remote workdays per quarter to use at your discretion, subject to manager approval. For example, you may choose to work in the office 4 days per week and take one remote day weekly (typically 13 weeks per quarter), leaving 5 additional remote days to be used as needed.
The position will be part of the EMEA Global Private Wealth (“GPW”) fundraising team. The breadth of responsibility will focus on fundraising in the French region to meet fundraising objectives and build the HarbourVest brand.
The ideal candidate is someone who is:
- Has a proven track record of fundraising private markets funds and strategies.
- Has a live rolodex of fund selector, distribution head, and C-suite roles within the French region.
- Can operate independently with little direction and extensive travel experience in a fundraising capacity.
- Has private equity or private markets experience; and/or
- Has wealth management or private banking experience.
- Has knowledge of various wealth management client profiles including private banks, asset managers, fund distribution network platforms, multi-family offices, and independent financial advisors.
What you will do:
- Account Manager for French-based GPW clients and prospects.
- Originate new business to meet fundraising objectives.
- Take ownership of existing client relationships and cold call new prospects.
- Collaborate with the wider EMEA and APAC GPW teams to share market intelligence and relationships beyond Northern Europe.
- Work closely with the marketing teams and adjacent institutional IR colleagues to build the HarbourVest brand throughout each of the respective regions.
- Provide market feedback on investment strategy and product structuring parameters to feed into the early product development phases.

Experience: 10+ years’ experience in institutional and/or private client, financial sales, business development and client service, with experience in and detailed understanding of private markets and baseline understanding of product structuring.
