We provide tactical radios, networking technologies and satellite communications equipment for militaries around the world. Due to the current incumbent being promoted, we now have a vacancy for Stores Person / Driver at our Tring site.
Scope: You will be responsible for liaising with customers and suppliers for the drop‑off and collection of satellite communications equipment. Reporting to the Production Manager, the Stores Person/Driver will work within a team to ensure prompt, accurate, and efficient package distribution and collections. We operate a 9‑day fortnight work schedule.
Responsibilities:
- Supporting the stores area
- Loading and unloading of goods
- Packing outbound products to suppliers and customers
- Ensuring goods are collected and delivered on time
- Maintaining high level of service to all internal and external customers
- Proof of delivery sheets returned completed
- Signing receipts for courier deliveries
- Kit picking for Production
- Using internal IC system for stock control
- Other tasks as allocated by the Production Manager
- Ensuring stores and vehicle are clean and tidy at all times
- Housekeeping in and around the site
- Delivery and collection of materials and equipment to and from sub‑contractors
- Off‑site assistance for Production/Engineering at test ranges
- On‑site forklift truck user
Required Skills and Qualifications:
Essential:
- Confident van driver
- Compliance with the Road Traffic Act
- Full, clean UK driving licence
- Ability to obtain and maintain SC clearance
Desirable:
- Experience working in a warehouse environment
- Previous picking and packing experience
