Full‑time role, 37.5 hours a week on a term‑time only basis.
Location: HMS Raleigh, Torpoint, United Kingdom. UK Security Clearance at SC level required.
What you’ll be doing:
- Lead from the front, providing visible, effective leadership to deliver a high‑quality, customer‑focused LDO Hub service.
- Line manage and develop LDO Hub colleagues, embedding Capita’s values, policies and best practice.
- Build strong leadership, behavioural and technical capability aligned to the Capita Career Path Framework (Level 3).
- Champion Health & Safety, ensuring compliance through robust risk assessments and audits.
- Deliver impactful, through‑life learning, development and resettlement advice to Service Personnel.
- Actively promote LDO Hub services and collaborate with colleagues across the wider LDO community — both in person and digitally.
- Serve as the Hub and regional subject matter expert for Neurodiversity and Specific Learning Differences (training and qualifications provided where required).
- Lead and coordinate ND/SpLD support services in line with national LDO and Royal Navy policy.
What we’re looking for (essential):
- You’ll bring leadership credibility, curiosity and a genuine commitment to learning and inclusion.
- Proven experience leading or managing a team.
- Holds, or is willing to work towards, an SpLD qualification at RQF Level 5 / SCQF Level 8 or above, including appropriate practising certification.
Nice to have (but not essential):
- A Level 3 (or above) qualification in education, teaching, learning & development or coaching.
- A higher‑level leadership and/or management qualification.
- Experience of — or interest in — neurodiversity and inclusive support approaches.
- Awareness of organisations that support ex‑Service Personnel.
