Moog Aircraft Group is seeking a Programme Manager to lead delivery of complex aerospace programmes within our Product Development Engineering organisation in Tewkesbury for a 12‑month fixed term contract. Due to continued growth and investment in advanced aerospace technologies, this role offers ownership of high‑profile military and commercial programmes developing electrohydraulic components for flight and engine control systems. Working in a state‑of‑the‑art engineering environment, you will lead programmes from concept through to certification, ensuring delivery across technical, commercial, and customer requirements.

Role Overview

You will own end‑to‑end programme delivery, acting as primary customer interface and accountable for scope, schedule, cost, quality, and risk. The role requires strong technical understanding, commercial awareness, and the ability to lead cross‑functional engineering teams in a regulated aerospace environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own and deliver complex aerospace programmes from bid through to certification.
  • Act as primary customer interface for assigned programmes.
  • Define and manage programme plans, budgets, and commercial performance.
  • Translate customer requirements into delivery and engineering execution plans.
  • Lead governance, reporting, and performance across workstreams.
  • Identify and mitigate programme risks and opportunities.
  • Lead technical/commercial trade‑offs with engineering teams.
  • Ensure compliance with contractual and airworthiness requirements (incl. EASA Part 21).
  • Provide reporting to senior leadership and external stakeholders.
  • Mentor and support programme team members.

Essential Requirements

  • 8+ years’ aerospace engineering or programme management experience.
  • Proven delivery of complex aerospace or high‑integrity engineering programmes.
  • Strong understanding of aerospace development and validation processes.
  • Experience managing customer relationships in technical/commercial environments.
  • Knowledge of airworthiness requirements (EASA Part 21 desirable).
  • Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to manage cost, schedule, risk, and technical performance.
  • Degree in Engineering or related discipline.

Desirable Experience

  • Electrohydraulic or mechanical aerospace systems experience.
  • APQP or structured development methodologies.
  • MS Project and programme management tools.
  • Technical signatory or approval experience.
  • Commercial/contractual aerospace exposure.
