THE ROLE

The Store Manager plays a key role in delivering a first‑class in‑store experience, leading by example, and inspiring the team to achieve sales, service, and operational goals.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Partner with the store management team to build on business opportunities and achieve company standards/goals: sales, wage budgets, SPH, UPT, conversion rate, wage and expense control, shrinkage, mystery shops, store audits, and profitability.
  • Identify opportunities and collaborate with others to grow the business or improve performance.
  • Consistently foster a positive store experience by treating all customers and staff members fairly.
  • Ensure “door to floor” best practices, visual merchandising, and back‑room standards are executed consistently.
  • Communicate regularly with the buying team to maintain correct stock levels.
  • Analyze store‑level reports and create action plans to improve results.
  • Communicate daily with staff on individual sales goals, KPIs, store results, and product information.
  • Manage manpower planning, recruitment, interviewing, hiring, and orientation processes.
  • Provide training and coaching for employees and document it appropriately.
  • Lead weekly management meetings and other staff meetings; participate in regional meetings.
  • Make commitments and decisions under stressful and changing conditions.
  • Set challenging yet attainable goals focused on service quality, customer satisfaction, and financial performance.
  • Coordinate action plans while considering consequences and budget decisions.
  • Convey clear ideas and manage their implementation to achieve measurable results.
  • Create energy and excitement around shared goals and values.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum of 6 years of progressive retail experience.
  • At least 2 years of store management experience in retail or service industry.
  • Extensive experience delivering high‑level customer service in a brand retailer.
  • Experience with retail operations, budgeting, planning, sales, and people management.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to build relationships.
  • Team player who recognises and celebrates contributions and achievements.
  • Confident in giving constructive feedback that promotes positive behavioural change.
  • Strong people‑management skills with ability to resolve conflict.
  • Adaptable and comfortable with change and fast pace.
