Location: Swindon, United Kingdom

Onsite role, Monday – Friday 37.5 p/w.

Our Swindon facility is home to our Zydis® fast-dissolving tablet development and manufacturing operation, alongside a CMC pharmaceutical analytical services unit offering ASAP stability studies.

We are currently recruiting for a Financial Accountant to join our Swindon site. This role is responsible for external reporting, statutory compliance, and maintaining a strong financial control environment across multiple UK entities.

Working closely with the Financial Controller, wider finance team, and external advisors, you will gain valuable exposure to audit, statutory accounts, tax compliance, and regulatory reporting within a multi-entity, international business. This role offers a clear pathway for progression into a senior financial reporting or controllership position.

The Role

  • Manage the annual audit process for the Swindon group
  • Prepare and submit statutory accounts for three UK entities
  • Oversee corporation tax compliance and prepare supporting analysis, including US reporting packs
  • Manage UK banking relationships and systems (including Barclays.net)
  • Support pension covenant monitoring and reporting
  • Ensure company secretarial and external filing obligations are met
  • Identify and implement improvements to financial reporting and tax processes
  • Partner with senior stakeholders to improve cost control and drive efficiencies
  • Support cash flow and working capital management
  • Oversee headcount tracking and forecasting with HR
  • Provide financial insights to support decision-making
  • Assist with month-end close, including payroll accounting and tax reconciliations
  • Manage SOX compliance, including audit and walkthrough activities
  • Review and strengthen internal control environments
  • Act as a technical finance lead and deputy to the Financial Controller
  • Deliver ad hoc financial analysis and support as required

The Candidate

  • ACA / ACCA / CIMA qualified
  • Strong statutory reporting experience
  • Knowledge of UK GAAP and corporate tax
  • Experience in a multi-entity or regulated environment is advantageous
  • Strong Excel skills; JDE and/or OneStream experience preferred
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving ability
  • Highly organised, accurate, and dependable
  • Able to work to tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Proactive, self-motivated, and eager to take ownership
  • Ambitious with a desire to progress into a controllership role
