We are seeking a Principal ICA Engineering to join our Design exercise judgement to solve difficult problems and guide junior team members.
Provide technical support for bid proposals.
Work with multi‑disciplinary teams in the UK and overseas to deliver integrated design solutions.
Adhere to quality assurance standards in design, including check and review of your own work and others’.
Contribute to business development to drive growth of the water market.
About you A degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
Chartered or Incorporated Engineer.
Experience coordinating or managing an ICA engineering design delivery team within a design consultancy in a multi‑disciplinary environment.
Ability to identify innovative design solutions and a broad perspective on design challenges.
Strong knowledge and practical experience in ICA designs.
Practical knowledge of water company design codes and standards and industry best practices (e. g., WIMES).
Awareness of HAZOP, lightning risk assessments, earthing and bonding, lighting design, DSEAR and ATEX installation practices.
Proficiency with digital analysis software (e. g., Trimble/Amtech) and design tools, following local and national guidance.
Ability to work independently with minimal guidance.
Experience in the water market is preferred but not required; experience in industrial and process environments is essential.
Strong communication skills to convey technical concepts within diverse teams.
Proactive, collaborative mindset to drive teamwork and shared success across projects.
