This position reports to: Senior Quality & Opex Engineer.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to support the deployment of the quality strategy for a local organizational unit, including quality culture, systems, tools, and competent teams with the aim to achieve and exceed customer expectations, while ensuring sustainable operations. Each day, you will assist the organization in achieving the right mix of prevention, continuous improvement, robust root cause analysis, quick response, and sustainable solutions to problems. You will also showcase your expertise by collaborating with local functions that impact the quality results to reach the targets for the organizational unit and aim for world‑class performance.
The work model for the role is: Onsite. This role is reporting to the site Quality Manager.
You will be responsible for leading a small team of Quality Engineers and Technicians and mainly accountable for:
- Maintain the quality management system within own area, conduct periodical process audits to ensure compliance and identify improvement opportunities.
- Work alongside production, design, sales, engineering, R&D on new product introduction ensuring flawless on time launch.
- Contribute technical / mechanical / electronic engineering expertise to new product design and introduction to the manufacturing process.
- Using practical problem‑solving techniques to improve the operational right first time performance for parts, processes and equipment.
- Develop control plans and inspection methods to create reliably performing processes.
- Daily support to the Production department in the resolution of issues which may prevent attaining daily targets.
- Utilizing drawings and standards work with suppliers to ensure conformance and on time closure of issues of non‑compliance.
- Evaluating operational systems and recommending improvements to eliminate causes of malfunctions.
Qualifications for the role:
- You are highly skilled in quality assurance methodologies and enjoy working within a manufacturing environment, particularly in supporting new product introductions.
- You have 5+ years of experience in QA roles, with a demonstrated track record of working effectively in cross‑functional teams and project‑based environments.
- You are highly adept in using tools such as SAP and MS Office, applying them to support quality control and operational excellence.
- You bring strong project management skills and are comfortable coordinating quality‑related activities across departments and stakeholders.
- You possess advanced knowledge of Six Sigma methodologies (Green Belt certification is required; Black Belt is preferred).
- You are at ease communicating in English, with excellent interpersonal skills to support collaboration, reporting, and training.
- You hold a degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or a related field, and ISO 9001 Internal Auditor training is considered an asset.
