This position reports to: Production Engineering Manager. Join a collaborative team delivering innovative IT and OT solutions within a dynamic manufacturing environment. In this role, you will work closely with cross‑functional stakeholders to understand requirements and design, develop, and support applications across the full lifecycle, from specification through to deployment and ongoing improvement. You will build strong relationships with internal customers while applying your expertise in C#, databases, and web technologies to deliver efficient, high‑quality solutions.

You will also collaborate with infrastructure colleagues and provide occasional support cover, offering an opportunity to broaden your technical experience.

Your Role and Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end application delivery, from requirements gathering and specification through to development, testing, deployment, and documentation.
  • Translate user issues into clear, actionable problem statements and drive timely, effective resolutions.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve day-to-day factory system issues independently, ensuring minimal disruption.
  • Prioritise and escalate issues to maintain operational continuity.
  • Manage your workload proactively while contributing effectively within a small, collaborative team.
  • Deliver a high standard of customer service, building trust and strong relationships with internal users.
  • Ensure compliance with IT policies, standards, and relevant internal and external regulations.
  • Execute tasks in line with defined processes and RACI responsibilities, maintaining consistency and quality.
  • Align local solutions with wider business and IT strategies to support overall organisational goals.
  • Provide guidance and support to colleagues by sharing knowledge and monitoring task progress without formal line management responsibility.

Work model: onsite from our Stonehouse location.

Qualifications for the Role

  • Strong experience in C# and .NET development, including Webforms, WinForms, WPF, and web services.
  • Hands‑on experience with IIS, including setup, configuration, and support.
  • Solid knowledge of SQL Server, including database design and writing stored procedures.
  • Proficiency in web technologies such as HTML, CSS, and frameworks like Angular.
  • Degree-level education with a proactive approach to problem solving and continuous learning.
  • Experience with Microsoft Reporting Services, XML, or label printing technologies such as ZPL – desirable.
  • Exposure to SAP integrations, including BAPI or RFC interfaces – desirable.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft tools such as Power BI or PowerApps – desirable.
  • Understanding of IT service management frameworks such as ITIL 4 – desirable.
  • Awareness of Industry 4.0 concepts and digital manufacturing environments – desirable.
