About the Business
LexisNexis Risk Solutions is the essential partner in the assessment of risk. Within our Business Services vertical, we offer a multitude of solutions focused on helping businesses of all sizes drive higher revenue growth, maximize operational efficiencies, and improve customer experience. Our solutions help our customers solve difficult problems in the areas of Anti-Money Laundering/Counter Terrorist Financing, Identity Authentication & Verification, Fraud and Credit Risk mitigation and Customer Data Management.
About the Team
You will join the FCC Product Portfolio team - which is a transversal function supporting a wide portfolio of solutions and products. You will work alongside one existing Product R&D specialist in the team, and partner closely with both an aligned Data Science team and our internal Product Delivery teams.
About the Role
We’re looking for a Senior Product Manager (R&D / Innovation) to lead the front end of product development: discovering, incubating and validating new opportunities across a portfolio of Products. You’ll frame problem spaces, run lean experiments, and translate emerging technologies (incl. AI/ML) into investable propositions—then recommend clear progress / pivot / stop decisions. This role does not own a single product line or mature backlog; instead, it reduces risk and increases confidence before major delivery spend.
Responsibilities
- Discover and Scope Opportunities - Gather, evaluate and build a solid understanding of customer use cases, the regulatory and related technology environment, and our competitors in the market. Create crisp problem statements and hypotheses.
- Perform Analysis - Be proficient at pulling and accessing data from multiple sources, and managing through data ambiguity - identify the most important data to use to define KPIs and priorities.
- Validate with evidence - Design experiments to validate hypotheses, including PoCs and prototypes to test desirability, feasibility, viability, and compliance; synthesize insights into clear recommendations. Define clear and measurable success criteria.
- Manage a Pipeline of Bets - Coordinate and drive experimentation efforts working with both dedicated and matrixed teams to run POCs, POVs, etc. Motivate teams, facilitate execution and address roadblocks.
- Handover for scale: Define transition artifacts and criteria for delivery teams once concepts are proven. Provide defined value propositions and inputs for business cases. Define technical feasibility paths that align cross functional partners (engineering, data science, architecture, legal, risk/compliance, marketing, sales).
- Practice Self-Development - Learn from the market, understand what is required by the business to be successful and map development plans accordingly, learn from success and failures, utilise formal and informal networks effectively.
How success is measured
- Learning velocity, risk reduction pre investment, conversion of concepts to funded pilots/MVPs, quality of discovery-to-delivery handovers, and stakeholder confidence.
Requirements
- Critical Experience - considerable years in Product Management demonstrating long-term ownership and success in leading product lifecycle strategy and planning, including the release of multiple products and features, development of deep customer relationships over time. Experience working in regulated contexts and with AI/ML enabled products (nice to have).
- Creative ability to understand issues and solve problems – Ability to relate effectively to Customers in order to identify and highlight new trends, potential problems and related opportunities.
- Strong qualitative & quantitative analytical research skills.
- Expertise in Innovation – Ability to develop new ideas for improving processes and products, provide implementation options and plans, integrate and build on new ideas from others, create new opportunities by applying different perspectives and challenging the status-quo.
- Ability to communicate powerfully and prolifically - Provide clear and concise analysis, insights, instructions and direction to others - help others to understand situations by communicating business context.
- Ability to drive collaboration and teamwork - promote a high level of cooperation between all members of the working group, inspire colleagues, take the lead in resolving conflicts or confusion.
- Determination to deliver powerful product opportunities - communicate expectations clearly, follow through on commitments to ensure they are successfully completed and goals are achieved.
