We are excited to announce an incredible opportunity for a highly skilled specialist to join our UK Operation as a Head Critical Facilities Engineer (CFE Level VI). As an ambassador for your site and the Campus, you will proactively engage with UK and Global stakeholders to continuously improve operational performance and customer experience.
Previous data centre experience is beneficial but not essential—this role is equally well suited to professionals transitioning from other mission‑critical environments where uptime, risk management, and technical leadership are paramount. Who You Are
- An experienced technical professional who has acted as a lead engineer during incidents, confidently coordinating teams and diagnosing complex failures in live operational environments.
- Brings strong experience from adjacent industries, such as: Utilities or power generation, Manufacturing or industrial automation, Transport or infrastructure, Energy, oil & gas, or pharmaceuticals, Facilities management within regulated or high‑availability environments.
- Has a solid understanding of critical infrastructure systems, such as power, cooling, control systems, life‑safety, or automation — and can quickly transfer that knowledge into a data‑centre context.
- Comfortable planning and coordinating complex technical work, including switchovers, maintenance windows, vendors, and customer communications.
- Confident supporting and mentoring engineers across a wide experience range — from apprentices to senior technical specialists.
- Customer‑focused and credible in stakeholder discussions, including key customer meetings, MBRs, and incident escalations.
- Organised, adaptable, and solutions‑oriented — able to operate calmly under pressure and provide reassurance during high‑impact situations.
