The Regional Engineer will enhance service delivery by ensuring seamless client onboarding, providing network infrastructure support, and effectively managing the implementation of projects across the EMEA region. This role will leverage technical expertise in network configuration and strong project management skills to consistently deliver high standard service and support, driving client satisfaction and operational efficiency while aligning with the organization’s growth and strategic goals.
Responsibilities
- Manage and coordinate onboarding activities for new and existing clients.
- Provide operational oversight throughout the onboarding process to ensure adherence to established quality standards and client expectations.
- Create, maintain, and regularly update detailed project records for customer implementations.
- Effectively communicate project updates to stakeholders, acting as the primary point of contact during all implementation phases to address concerns and provide timely information.
- Configure, install, maintain, and troubleshoot a variety of network devices, including credit card terminals, routers, firewalls, and switches.
- Ensure devices are set up for optimal performance and security.
- Facilitate the successful integration of new circuits into service, utilizing various technologies such as DSL, SD WAN, and VPN to meet client needs.
- Provide hands-on support to customers during router installations and associated activities.
- Guide clients through the installation process, ensuring that all systems are operational and meet their requirements.
- Implement IP-related services for clients, managing customer service requests that include migrations and changes to existing infrastructure.
- Provide comprehensive support for new integration implementations, offering both pre- and post-support to clients.
- Ensure that all integration processes are executed smoothly and efficiently with minimal disruption to service.
- Coordinate software release management activities, including User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and pilot programs.
- Ensure that all software updates are thoroughly tested and validated before deployment.
- Work closely with Account Managers and Service Transition Managers to ensure the successful implementation of solutions that meet both technical and business requirements.
- Offer training and support to new hires and internal team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and knowledge sharing.
- Ensure team members are equipped with the necessary skills to succeed in their roles.
- Maintain professional relationships with technical peers and stakeholders, proactively identifying opportunities for process improvements and enhancements to service delivery.
- Ensure the integrity of configuration databases by regularly updating and maintaining technical documentation as necessary.
- Assist in producing detailed reports for senior management on project status and overall service performance.
- Monitor ongoing projects and keep abreast of changes to network designs, incorporating relevant updates into existing processes.
Qualifications
- Strong project management skills, capable of planning, tracking, and reporting on progress.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a focus on delivering succinct updates.
- Ability to multitask and adapt to manage various responsibilities under pressure.
- Solid understanding of payments processing and network technology (TCP/IP, VPN, etc.).

Experience / Qualifications:
- Technical experience with networking, telecommunications, and/or payments.
- Proficiency in relevant software (Salesforce, Jira, Microsoft Office Suite).
- Experience with installation and configuration of network infrastructure and related services.
- Experience with Cisco, Juniper, Virtual Access, Fortinet, Digi, Linux.
- 2+ years of experience in project management or telecommunications environments.
Education / Certifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in IT, Business, Project Management, or a related field.
- ITIL v4 Foundation certification and relevant project management certifications preferred (e.g., Prince2, PMP, Agile).
- Currently active Cisco certification (CCNA or equivalent) is preferred.
