The Product Management area is responsible for designing, developing and managing activities for a specific product or group of products from product definition and planning through production, release, and end of life. Serves as the central resource with design, process, manufacturing, test, quality, and marketing as the product(s) move to production and distribution.

We are seeking an experienced Senior Product Manager to lead product strategy and execution for Sentinel. This individual will play a critical role in defining the future product roadmap, engaging customers and partners, and working cross‑functionally to bring innovative solutions to market.
The Senior Product Manager will be responsible for the strategic direction, development, and commercialization of Sentinel products and services. This role requires a combination of market expertise, customer engagement, technical fluency, and commercial acumen. The ideal candidate has deep experience in enterprise financial technology, market data, or trading infrastructure and is comfortable operating across strategy, execution, client engagement, and industry evangelism. This role will partner closely with clients, engineering, operations, marketing, and third‑party technology providers to ensure Sentinel continues to evolve in alignment with customer needs and emerging market trends.
Key Responsibilities- Product Strategy & Roadmap: Define and maintain the strategic product roadmap for Sentinel, identifying and prioritizing new product initiatives aligned with customer demand and business objectives. Evaluate market trends, competitive offerings, and emerging technologies to identify opportunities for innovation and differentiation. Develop business cases and commercialization strategies for new product offerings.
- Client & Market Engagement: Meet regularly with existing clients and prospective customers to assess current service levels, gather feedback, and identify unmet needs and new product opportunities. Serve as a trusted advisor to clients on enterprise market data management trends, operational efficiencies, and technology modernization. Translate market insights and customer feedback into actionable product direction.
- Product Requirements & Delivery: Collaborate closely with customers and internal engineering and operations teams to gather requirements for new products and enhancements to existing offerings. Define detailed business and functional requirements, user workflows, and product specifications. Partner with software engineering teams throughout the development lifecycle to ensure successful delivery of product initiatives. Support product launches through documentation, training materials, and go‑to‑market readiness.
- Product Governance & Service Standards: Define product standards, operating models, and service‑level agreements (SLAs) for Sentinel offerings. Develop and maintain customer‑facing product documentation, implementation guides, and service collateral. Establish best practices for product support and operational excellence.
- Marketing, PR & Industry Presence: Support marketing and public relations initiatives by contributing to product messaging, collateral, whitepapers, and thought leadership content. Engage with PR firms and media contacts to communicate product capabilities and market positioning. Represent Waypoint at industry conferences, trade shows, and client events. Participate in panel discussions, presentations, and speaking engagements as a subject matter expert.
- Technology Research & Innovation: Research new and emerging technologies in the enterprise market data ecosystem and assess applicability to Sentinel products and services. Monitor developments in cloud technologies, data governance, analytics, automation, AI, and market data management platforms. Recommend strategic technology investments to enhance Waypoint’s offerings.
- Strategic Partnerships: Identify and engage third‑party vendors and technology providers to evaluate partnership opportunities. Build and support strategic alliances that expand Sentinel capabilities and accelerate product innovation. Collaborate with external partners to develop and commercialize new offerings.
- 7+ years of experience in financial technology, enterprise software, market data, trading infrastructure, or related industries.
- Strong understanding of enterprise market data environments, including data governance, entitlement management, usage reporting, compliance, and vendor ecosystems.
- Demonstrated experience building and executing product roadmaps and bringing products to market.
- Experience gathering customer requirements and translating business needs into technical solutions.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with software engineering, operations, commercial teams, and external stakeholders.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present to senior executives, customers, and industry audiences.
- Experience supporting product marketing, PR, analyst relations, or conference speaking engagements is highly desirable.
- Strong analytical, strategic thinking, and problem‑solving skills.
- Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
- Experience in enterprise market data management, financial exchanges, trading platforms, or capital markets technology.
- Existing relationships across the market data vendor ecosystem are a plus.
