About the Role

OMD EMEA are recruiting for a Senior Manager within their Data Operations Team to work on Sony and SharkNinja. In this role you will:

  • Act as the first point of contact for clients and internal stakeholders to address issues relating to data collection, reporting, delivery and dashboard queries.
  • Operating with the support of subject matter experts in all areas across data & tech, activation and client leadership.
  • Lead on dashboard development and promote good data governance by:
    • Creating visual solutions for dashboards and reports.
    • Ensuring compliance across taxonomy structures with the Performance Media team across various markets.
    • Developing new and iterating existing processes to reflect best practice.
    • Identifying and highlighting where processes are not duly followed and proactively proposing solutions.
    • Embedding a culture of continuous process improvements.
    • Safeguarding resources by identifying and managing out inefficiencies, making sure opportunities are realised, removing bottlenecks that may hinder the team from performing at its best.
    • Conducting risk and impact analysis and identifying mitigating actions.
    • Developing and implementing strategic solutions to address operational challenges and offer possible workarounds and long-term solutions and be responsible for delivering agreed improvements.
  • Provide operational support, and act as the bridge between the client and the account team.
  • Proactively identify operational challenges and opportunities, and defining solutions for these.
  • Work with subject matter experts to streamline their areas of delivery.
  • Establish KPIs which can be used to demonstrate the value of the operations function to the client and internal audiences.

Skills required

  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to work across a range of concurrent workstreams, with appropriate support.
  • Strong experience of using data visualisation tools (PowerBi, Looker, Tableau) as well as a strong working knowledge of Excel.
  • Experience in SQL and automation (Power Automate, etc) is desirable.
  • Proven ability to deliver process improvement, both in terms of building new solutions and improving existing ones.
  • Ability to assess problems and prioritise fixes, ideally with a Lean mindset.
  • Ability to take unstructured work and build out a defined, documented and replicable process, both solo and alongside a wider team depending on the nature of the task.
  • Good understanding of media and underlying principles of media buying.
  • Experience implementing and working within project management systems, e.g Trello/Jira/Hive preferable.

Our working pattern for colleagues is to be present in the office three days a week at our offices in London with the other days available to work remotely. You can also have flexible working hours: standard hours 9:30 – 17:30, with the ability to flex around core hours of 10:30 – 16:30. For example, you could start work at 8:30 and finish at 16:30 or start at 10:30 and finish at 18:30.
