As Senior Legal Counsel, you’ll work as a trusted legal partner to the business, supporting Invesco’s products, services, and distribution activities across EMEA, with a particular focus on the UK. Your responsibilities:
- Lead and oversee legal work relating to client agreements across EMEA, including investment management mandates and strategic partnership agreements
- Review, draft, and negotiate sophisticated legal documentation with large and often international counterparties
- Support EMEA Product teams and other Invesco functions on legal and regulatory matters
- Monitor regulatory developments impacting products and distribution, and provide practical, business‑focused advice
- Advise on legal risks related to new strategies, products, and initiatives
- Support regulatory matters, corporate initiatives, internal policies, and processes
- Act as a collaborative member of Invesco’s global Legal group, contributing to a strong, solutions‑oriented culture
What you can bring:
- Strong post‑qualification legal experience within asset management, financial services, or a leading law firm
- Solid understanding of MiFID investment services, regulated funds, and the broader financial services regulatory framework
- Experience advising asset management or investment businesses
- Confidence managing negotiations with sophisticated counterparties
- Exposure to both common law and civil law systems (highly valued)
- Legal qualification in a common‑law jurisdiction, with eligibility to practice in the UK
- Additional civil law qualification is a strong advantage
- Excellent English; business‑level German or Italian is a significant plus
- Comfort operating in a multicultural, international environment
