You will provide high‑quality, commercially-aligned legal support to FNZ’s UK business, with a focus on enabling customer‑focused, scalable, compliant, and innovative solutions across FNZ’s platform, technology, and outsourced service offerings. This role acts as a senior legal advisor supporting strategic client relationships and complex commercial arrangements within the UK wealth management ecosystem.

Responsibilities:

  • Leading the negotiation, drafting, and management of complex commercial agreements with FNZ’s key clients, including large financial institutions, asset managers, platforms, and distribution partners.
  • Supporting end‑to‑end contracting for FNZ’s technology, SaaS, data, and outsourced services, ensuring alignment with FNZ’s global operating model, risk frameworks, and regulatory obligations.
  • Partnering with senior stakeholders across Commercial, Finance, Compliance, Risk, Delivery and Technology teams to support the design and launch of new products, digital solutions, and service offerings.
  • Advising on large‑scale transformation programmes, client migrations, and long‑term strategic commercial partnerships.
  • Supporting governance activities, including internal policy development, contract standards, legal risk management, and escalation processes across the UK business.
  • Managing external counsel effectively, ensuring value and alignment with FNZ’s business priorities.
  • Contributing to the legal team’s continuous improvement agenda, including template development, contracting efficiencies, playbooks, and legal operations initiatives.

Requirements:

  • 8+ years of PQE experience.
  • Background in complex technology, outsourcing, financial services, or regulated business environments, ideally with both private practice and in‑house experience.
  • Understanding of key UK regulatory frameworks impacting FNZ’s operations, including FCA rules on outsourcing, operational resilience, governance, consumer duty, and data protection.
  • Demonstrated ability to support major commercial negotiations with large institutions and drive balanced, pragmatic outcomes.
  • Skilled at simplifying complex legal and contractual positions into clear, business‑friendly advice.
  • Experience working with cross‑functional teams in fast‑moving, high‑scale environments.
  • Strong judgement, senior stakeholder management, and the ability to navigate ambiguity with confidence.
