MAIN PURPOSE OF THE ROLE
Provide support and lead securitisation transaction activities across MUFG Bank and MUFG Securities EMEA, with a focus on the Esoteric sector and public ABS programs.
MUFG Bank entity responsibilities
Supporting the origination and execution of securitisation transactions within the Esoteric sector vertical.
MUFG Securities entity responsibilities
Provide support to senior team members for the development of the MUFG public ABS franchise in EMEA.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
MUFG Bank responsibilities
- Support the origination and execution of securitised products for bank clients, focusing on Esoteric transactions such as Data Centre securitisations, Solar, Sharia‑compliant securitisation, IP Royalties and other emerging asset classes.
- Support and/or lead the execution of securitisation transaction renewals, amendments and waivers within the Esoteric sector.
- If required, support the origination and execution of securitised products for bank FI or corporate clients.
- Analyse and produce structural risk memoranda (credit papers) and reports, review legal documentation, perform cash‑flow modelling, conduct due diligence and manage client relationships.
- Lead or support deal closing processes.
- Liaise with clients at a counterpart level to relay information and respond to routine queries, ensuring a high level of customer service.
- Maintain and develop a knowledge base of regulatory issues related to securitisation and market developments.
- Build relationships throughout MUFG to establish a peer network and support effective inter‑departmental collaboration.
MUFG Securities responsibilities
- Support execution of private placement and public Esoteric ABS transactions in EMEA, as required.
- Support senior originators in the origination of private placement and public ABS transactions in EMEA, adopting a product‑neutral approach.
PERSONAL REQUIREMENTS
- Degree level of education.
- Track record of working on securitisation transactions in EMEA in a structuring or execution capacity.
- Experience in securitisation, structured finance or working capital finance, in a bank, rating agency or advisory role.
- Legal, accounting or credit background desirable.
- Complex problem‑solving skills.
- Commercial acumen and negotiation skills.
- Interpersonal and networking skills and ability to work in a diverse team environment.
- Excellent knowledge and skill in Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel.
- Fluency in any European language desirable but not essential.
MANAGING CONFLICTS OF INTEREST
- Responsibilities for both MUFG Bank and MUFG Securities EMEA plc; duties must be performed on an entity‑neutral basis.
- Follow regulatory requirements applicable to ensure each business is appropriately supported and maintain legal entity integrity.
- Identify and resolve potential conflicts between the needs of MUFG Bank and MUFG Securities EMEA plc, escalating as required.
- Workings terms are dictated by functional mandates, the dual‑hat arrangement agreement and other relevant agreements.
